Lynnsey wanted a soft, romantic, gardeny bouquet to carry when she married Devin on Memorial Day weekend 2016. Jess designed just that using locally foraged greens (blueberry, lady’s mantle and hosta from the garden), ranunculus, astilbe, peonies, scabiosa and dusty miller.
Lynnsey and Devin chose to marry on the lawn of a lovely home on Woods Pond in Bridgton, ME. Weather in Maine can change from 90 degrees and sunny to 35 and snowing on Memorial Day weekend, so Lynnsey thought of everything. She even provided blankets, shawls and portable heaters to make sure her guests were comfortable. It didn’t snow.
Jess has fallen in love with astilbe. It’s temperamental, but when it’s fresh and kept cool, it lasts and lasts. Lynnsey’s Honor Attendant carried this bouquet of astilbe, dusty miller and blueberry foliage, all hand tied with a blush satin ribbon. Oh, and the fragrance!
